Producing the Milk-Kefir drink
For the production of 200 ml of Milk-Kefir drink you require:
Milk-Kefir corm for approximately 200ml
200ml full milk ( or fresh milk )
1 screw top jar for at least 200ml ( jar for jam or yogurt ...)
1 crude sieve
1 funnel
1 storage vessel for at least 200ml
 |
These specifications refer to a Milk-Kefir corm for approximately 200ml (equals the amount of the Milk-Kefir starter set found on my order page). If you work with a bigger fungus you may want to increase the amounts accordingly. |
Instruction
Fill the jar with 200 ml of milk .
Add the contents of the 200 ml Milk-Kefir bag (or add the corm respectively) Seal the jar air-tight ( screw the top real tight )
Put the jar into a dark place for 1 or 2 days at room temperature
Cast the produced Kefir beverage trough the sieve into the storage vessel and clean the Kefir spud with warm water
Now you may start all over again, only this time, instead of using the Milk-Kefir bag you take the cleaned new Kefir spud
Note : Use sieves and spoons made out of plastic only. Metals can disturb the growing of the micro-organisms if they are being allowed to intrude as ions. Constant contact with metal can result in damaging the Kefir
